The Origin Of Our Healing Voice

“We come into this world crying and calling, wailing and singing; and for the first months of our life all our needs and instincts, our dissatisfactions and discoveries are immediately vocalized without apology and without censor.”

As we move on softly into the journey to bring our healing voice back I would like to tap into the origin where sound imprints memories into our soul and body.

In the Toltec Tradition, this space is known as “Iwitl”, more commonly known as the sacral centre.

Every birth begins in the Sacral centre and is our first physical structure. It is from this centre that everything arises, the limbs, the organs, the voice.

Inhabiting the body implies a process about oneself, an exploration from the inside out. We come from the body and become the body.

When the Zygote reaches the uterus, it takes root and divides into two: the embryo and the placenta.

The placenta is the only existing organ that shares tissue from two beings. It is an organ at the service of feeding and sustaining the life that is gestated.

At birth, the placenta detaches and stops beating, it is a second birth and a first death. You can read more about the placenta in the previous blog Here

Around the 5th month of gestation, the ear is sufficiently developed to start hearing.

The first sounds come through the aquatic environment of our mother’s womb and we hear her heartbeat and gastric sounds that form our oldest sound memories. It is through listening that we begin to know and inhabit our first territory, our sacred body.

Our primal feeding and breathing happen through the navel.

While in the womb we depend on the circulation of nutrients from the source of the maternal body. At birth, our umbilical cord is cut and we begin to breathe through our noses and eat through our mouths.

Our bond with the earth starts with our first emitting loud song, the cry of birth, followed by the feeding through the mouth. It is from that moment what we consume, a daily endorsement of our connection with life.

Humans today have lost the awareness of that bond with the great mother earth, and it's through her medicine and bringing ceremonial rituals into our lives that we can awaken again those sacred memories.

We need to acknowledge that our mother earth gives birth again and again, and with each birth tearing herself to each born seed, providing us with food from the trees, the fruits, and the animals through everyday life. She is a mother who never gets tired of having her womb ready for us.

The second important consciousness that rules IWITL the Sacral Centre, is our kidneys.

They are the biggest alchemist and the largest filter of our blood, filtering around 140 liters of fluid from the blood daily and disposing of 2 liters of waste a day.

Therefore they play a major role in maintaining and balancing hydration within the human body, and their impairment will, in turn, affect voice production.

In ancient civilizations, kidneys were considered to be the most important internal organs along with the heart, associated with the innermost stirrings of emotional life.

Considered as the seat of the secret thoughts and feelings of the human, the core of the person, and the area of great vulnerability.

It is in this space where all the ancestral memories of trauma are stored and the memory of our life's purpose.

Fear is the number one toxic emotion that blocks this organ.

This low-frequency emotion will directly block the flow of the healing voice. Will diminish self-confidence and at some point in our lives is the root cause where we lost the memory of our own frequency.

Kidney health is extremely important to homeostasis, and when the Sacral centre is balanced you will feel a deep connection to the people around you, release fear and self-doubt, and desire to bring your voice back.

Here are some powerful rituals and plant medicines will assist you on healing your voice from this centre.

Much love to you in this strong ride on this healing wave of evolution.
